Training when the weather’s bad

Sometimes we actually get snow – which is beautiful but then snow gets stuck in the dogs’ coats, the dogs get too cold, they get stuck etc…

The winter in Sweden tends to be quite long and very, very dark. Add some rain and wind to that (and it’s almost always windy here!) and being outdoors really isn’t pleasant at all. In order for my dogs and myself not to perish from boredom, we do mini training sessions indoors. This gives me the opportunity to work on something I love: Details.

There are so many things that you can work on that don’t require more than a living room carpet. So for the next 7 days – starting tomorrow – I’ll post a blog post on training you can do with your gun dog when the weather is bad – or when you just don’t want to go outside.

Please join in! 🙂
