Water training

Almost everything that the dog can do on land it’s also supposed to do in water: Hunting, marked retrieves, directed retrieves, stop whistle, hunt whistle and recall whistle. Needless to say you don’t have to teach the dog to do swimming heel work, but you need to teach the dog to walk by your side next to water, on marshes and on the shoreline. Teaching the dog not to shake of the water until the game or dummy is delivered in your hand is also a must.
