Winner day 12 – online course “Stop whistle – w/o feedback”

Congratulations to the winner from day 12, online course “Stop whistle – w/o feedback, Meg Hein who wrote “I signed up for a field class with my lab a few years back but it followed a negative, “old school” form of training. When I mentioned to the instructor I would like to use positive reinforcement he asked if I wanted my money back. I stuck it out, hoping to learn some of the principles of field work and after each class went home and clicked away! In spite of my inexperience, Annie turned out to be pretty darn good. We had a mock trial at the end of the class and the judge said if it was a real trial she would have earned her JH title! Imagine where we could be as a team if I knew what I was doing. With your book and online courses I hope to do a better job training her two year old pup. Believe me I need all the help and guidance I can get. Thanks for the opportunity.” Send us an e-mail at info@retrievingforalloccasions.com and we’ll give you access to the course!

Holding an area would be helpful with my toller, who has difficulty with distractions, skills to build to confidence and duration around distractions. The skills on hunting along water is another area that we need to improve, as she prefers water retrieves to land retrieves. Duration and persistence in hunt area is not as strong as I would like, so this would be great for pups to continue to build field skills.
